Spring Rush 2013 dp

Rush week is a 1-2 week period of events hosted by the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon, for individuals interested in the fraternity. Anyone can come out to meet the brothers, learn about the fraternity and have their questions answered. At the same time, we will get to know you better as well. There is no obligation to join after rush and all events are free.

Lambda Phi Epsilon is an organization that will challenge every aspect of your college life and even beyond. You will become a leader in your school, your community and the life you enter after  college. You will create bonds that will last a lifetime with brothers not only within your home chapter, but with chapters worldwide as well. In addition, Lambda Phi Epsilon maintains a tight network of alumni who are always willing to offer professional advice and give a helping hand.

Through the process, you will end up with some of the best friends you will ever make and be able to laugh over some of the most memorable stories. Being a Lambda also carries with it a strong sense of pride and a reputation for being a well-rounded individual striving to become the best version of yourself. It takes a certain type of man to become a Lambda and the road to becoming a brother is not easy, but the rewards are well worth it.

While perfect attendance is not required, you are highly encouraged to attend all events. It is an opportunity for both you and the brothers to get to know each other better. It is also an opportunity for you to get answers to any questions that you might have. Plus, all our events are free and fun.

Do I have to be Asian to join?

It is true that a majority of our members are of Asian descent. However, Lambda Phi Epsilon is an Asian American INTEREST fraternity, and there are many brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon all over the nation who are not of Asian descent. We encourage anyone interested in our Fraternity to rush.

We all share similar experiences and thoughts, and whether or not you understand or come from an Asian culture does not matter, so long as you are interested to learn from and interact with people who have. If you feel that you have a strong understanding and love for Asian awareness or want to, Lambda Phi Epsilon can definitely serve your purposes.

A common concern rushes have about joining a fraternity like Lambda Phi Epsilon is the amount of time the fraternity will take and the brother of Lambda Phi Epsilon would never hesitate to help you. The brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon span all sorts of majors, from Pre-Med to Engineering to English majors and more. The amount of time can affect their academic pursuits and participation in other activities in college. You will soon learn that rather than being a restrictive force, Lambda Phi Epsilon empowers each of us and enables each individual member to achieve his fullest potential.

The brothers of McMaster University Colony Chapter are also actively involved in many different Student Associations, and clubs. Becoming a brother of Lambda Phi Epsilon doesn’t mean you are limited to be involved with Lambdas only.

If you have any questions please feel free to email rush@maclambdas.com.
